Active Schools

Active Schools aims to provide more and higher quality opportunities for children to participate in school sport and to increase capacity through the recruitment of volunteers who deliver the activity sessions. This programme is delivered by a team of Active Schools Co-ordinators, who are assigned to each primary and secondary school. Find out more information about the programme.

All IN Communities

Active Stirling’s All IN Communities programme provides swim, gym, fitness and exercise classes across the Stirling area. Each class is offered in a range of intensities to challenge participants to whatever level they desire. Find out more information including class times and membership details.

Club & Community Activation

Active Stirling work in partnership with ClubSport Stirling to help develop club sport. Both partners recognise clubs as the key vehicle for the long term development of the sport. Currently, there are over 100 affiliated clubs who receive support through a range of mechanisms and programmes. One of these is the Community Sports Hub programme which aims to create community-led approaches by bringing together clubs and community partners who want to develop and grow the sport and physical activity offering in their local area.

Physical Activity & Inclusion

Active Stirling works with many partners and communities to run and promote a range of person-centred activities, classes and programmes. These are designed to create engaging and inclusive opportunities and pathways for participants to get fit and active. Active Stirling’s Community Activation team delivers the Stirling walking network, buggy walks, recreational cycling and active living referrals.

Adventure Activities

Active Stirling Adventure Activities team offer a wide variety of outdoor activities. All activities are licensed through the Adventure Activity licence and delivery staff all hold governing body qualifications for both land and water-based activities. Sport Development

Weekly classes and programmes are run for a range of sports in Stirling. Active Stirling working in partnership with local clubs and governing bodies to deliver these. Classes are available for many age groups from pre-school to older adults, as well as sessions open to those with physical, sensory and learning difficulties. Furthermore, holiday programmes are run across the year that complements the core programmes and swimming

Coaching & Development

To deliver high-quality opportunities across clubs, schools and communities, Stirling is fortunate to have many valued coaches, teachers and volunteers. Responsible for the integrated recruitment, development and deployment of this group are Coaching Stirling. To ensure coaches and volunteers receive appropriate, progressive and bespoke opportunities to develop, Coaching Stirling creates an annual coach education programme.
