Long-term health conditions

We support people with long-term health conditions and disabilities to access paid employment.

Clients work with Case Managers to assess their health, skills, experience, training and employment goals.  The team provides access to a range of health supports and intervention through specialist in-house provision in partnership with NHS Forth Valley. This can include health checks, stress management, counselling, functional and cognitive assessments and advice about managing long-term health conditions.

Through help and guidance from our Supported Employment service Mohammed has turned his life around and moved into a job which makes him happy. Listen to the full interview.

Working in partnership with local businesses, we can provide work tasters, placements and internships. Our clients provide a wide talent pool of skilled and unskilled individuals who are seeking sustainable employment. Where businesses are planning to recruit, an internship gives the service an opportunity to job coach and train individuals within the role prior to any recruitment process commencing.

Where a business has an employee who is struggling due to a health condition or disability, the team can offer a specialist retention service which includes:

  • health assessment
  • risk assessment
  • adjustment
  • coaching
  • training and aftercare
